About the book: Lina is a girl who has just lost her mother and is currently living in Washington with her best friend Addie. She doesn't have anyone else to live with so she is on her way to go live with Howard, her father in Italy. When she gets to Italy it is awkward because she has never met her father before. She goes out to explore Italy and meets a lot of new helpful people. She finds her mother's journal and starts reading about the places she has been in Italy with someone she liked, but he has an X in his name so Lina can't help but wonder why. She continues reading and trying to come up with answers while hanging out with her new friends and discussing things with Addie. Will she ever find out why there's an X instead of a name? Is Howard really her father?
Why I liked the book: I have a lot of connections in this book whether it be a name of a person I know or a place I have been. The setting is amazingly written and thought out. It makes me want to explore Italy myself now.
